Local kernel-memory disclosure via uninitialized buffer padding
Published Jan 19, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Information disclosure in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to read uninitialized bytes through the zpa2326 triggered buffer. The zpa2326_trigger_handler builds a sample containing pressure, temperature, padding, and a timestamp without initializing the padding. The path requires local access and a configured zpa2326 IIO device; disclosure is limited to bytes copied from the sample structure's padding.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
