Kernel stack disclosure via uninitialized ADC buffer
Published Jan 19, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Information disclosure in Linux 5.9 through 6.13-rc6 allows local users to read kernel stack data through Rockchip SAR ADC buffers. The rockchip_saradc_trigger_handler initializes only active-channel fields in its stack-local data structure, then pushes the entire structure to user space without clearing inactive fields. Exploitation requires local access, affected Rockchip SAR ADC hardware and driver code, and triggered-buffer reads; the bounded consequence is disclosure of residual kernel stack contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
