Authenticated command execution via traceroute POST handler
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
OS command injection in Comtrend WLD71-T1 2.0.201820 on GRG-4280us hardware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The /boaform/admin/formUserTracert handler incorporates attacker-controlled traceroute POST data into an operating-system command without neutralization. Reachability requires authenticated access from an adjacent network, and successful exploitation grants command execution inside the router.
