CVE-2024-57823Public exploit

Process crash via URI path-length underflow

Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Integer underflow in Raptor RDF Syntax Library through 2.0.16 allows local users to crash a consuming process with crafted Turtle data. The raptor_uri_normalize_path() routine calculates a negative path length, which reaches memcpy as a negative size during URI-reference resolution and aborts on an invalid pointer. The demonstrated gate is processing attacker-controlled Turtle input; the proven consequence is a crash, not code execution or data access.
