Authenticated code execution via unchecked file upload
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in JeeWMS before 2025.01.01 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted file. The parserXml route passes the uploaded filename through CommonController to CommonDao.parserXML(), which creates a File without an allowlist or denylist. A valid session and CSRF token are required; a server-executable JSP upload grants code execution in the web application's context.
