Unauthenticated ALG service changes via unchecked POST
Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
Incorrect authorization in form2alg.cgi in D-Link DIR-816 A2 firmware 1.10CNB05_R1B011D88210 allows remote attackers to alter the ALG service. The CGI handler accepts a crafted POST request without enforcing authorization before applying attacker-controlled ALG service settings. No credentials or user interaction are required, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized ALG service changes.
