Denial of service in OpenLink Virtuoso Open Source 7.2.11 allows remote attackers to crash the database server via crafted SQL. The ordered, grouped query reaches box_deserialize_string during value processing, but the public report does not identify the invalid deserialization operation. Network access to the SQL service is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is a server-process crash without reported data disclosure or modification.
