Stack smashing in the sqlexp component of Virtuoso Open Source 7.2.11 allows attackers to crash the database via crafted SQL. The sqlexp component mishandles a nested INSERT expression containing extreme integer arithmetic, triggering stack-smashing protection. The public reproduction authenticates as DBA; CISA nevertheless assesses no privileges required, and no impact beyond process termination is documented.
