Hard-coded credentials in Sonatype Nexus Repository 3.0.0 through 3.72.0 allow local users to decrypt configuration-database secrets. The secret-encryption code uses a static hard-coded passphrase by default for stored SMTP, HTTP proxy, user, and access-token values. Exploitation requires local access to the configuration database and the static passphrase, exposing stored credentials and tokens.
