Database process crash via crafted correlation query
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025
Denial of service in MonetDB Server 11.47.11 allows remote attackers to crash the database process via a crafted SQL statement. The published reproducer sends a DELETE combining NULLIF with a windowed corr() call into GDKanalytical_correlation, but the exact invalid operation inside that function is undisclosed. The reproducer supplies database credentials through mclient, and the demonstrated consequence is termination of mserver5 rather than data access or modification.
