CVE-2024-57548Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator PHP execution via print-page restriction bypass

Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Broken access control in CMSimple 5.16 allows remote authenticated users with Administrator access to write PHP into log.php. The log editor rejects the normal edit action, but a print request with file=log exposes the same file for modification without enforcing that restriction. The injected code executes when the modified server-side file is requested, granting server-side code execution.
