CVE-2024-5753Network attack vector

Unauthenticated local file read via SQL injection

Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

SQL injection in Vanna 0.3.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through an exposed Flask API. The API executes attacker-influenced PostgreSQL queries without neutralizing SQL syntax, permitting file-reading functions such as pg_read_file() to access local paths. No authentication is required, but exploitation depends on a Flask deployment connected to PostgreSQL with permission to read the targeted file.
