Browser script execution via reflected directory path
Published Jan 28, 2025 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Cross-site scripting in TP-Link Archer A20 v3 firmware 1.0.6 Build 20231011 rel.85717(5553) allows attackers to run JavaScript via a crafted URL. The web interface copies an encoded directory-listing path into an HTML index page without neutralizing a style element and its onload handler. A remote authenticated user on an adjacent network must convince a victim to visit the URL; script runs in the page context, but the root-path flaw cannot read the /cgi-bin/luci-scoped cookie.
