Unauthenticated API access via unnormalized request path
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Authentication bypass in jobx 1.0.1-RELEASE and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive API data using a crafted URL. The SecurityHandlerInterceptor.preHandle method checks an unnormalized context and servlet path, so a /login/../ path passes the static-resource allowlist before routing to a protected endpoint. Exploitation requires a nonempty contextPath; it bypasses login for reachable backend APIs and exposes their returned data.
