Unauthenticated command execution via unchecked POST length
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Buffer overflow in the 5G wireless network function in H3C N12 V100R005 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The /bin/webs handler accepts attacker-controlled POST data without length verification, allowing the input to overrun its destination buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation either crashes the remote device or executes arbitrary commands.
