CVE-2024-5746Network attack vector

Site Administrator code execution via audit streaming SSRF

Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Server-side request forgery in GitHub Enterprise Server allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code on the appliance. The audit log streaming configuration initiates a server-side request to an administrator-supplied destination, but GitHub has not disclosed the failed validation or code path. Exploitation requires the Site Administrator role; successful use compromises appliance integrity and can interrupt service.
