Directory disclosure via unconstrained file-list path
Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Directory traversal in ChestnutCMS 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to enumerate arbitrary directories through the file-list endpoint. The contentcore.controller.FileController#getFileList method enumerates an attacker-controlled path without confining the resolved location to the intended resource root. No authentication or user interaction is required, and disclosure is limited to directory listings readable by the ChestnutCMS process.
