Administrator impersonation via exposed session identifier
Published Jan 29, 2025 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Privilege escalation in RuoYi 4.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate an administrator through an exposed session ID. The online-user view under system monitoring exposes an administrator's session ID, which the application also accepts from a client cookie as the user's identity. Access requires system-monitoring privileges and an administrator to be online; reuse of the exposed ID grants the administrator's permissions.
