Administrator takeover via weak default test account

Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025

Incorrect authorization in macrozheng mall-tiny 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to obtain super-administrator access through login. The deployment imports a test user as a super administrator, assigns it a weak password, and permits unlimited login attempts without account lockout. Network access to the login interface is sufficient to enumerate the password and use the privileged test account to read or alter application data and disrupt service.
