Privilege escalation via forged administrator update
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
CSRF in PHPJabbers Cinema Booking System 2.0 allows remote attackers to change an administrator account through a forged request. The pjActionUpdate function accepts a cross-origin POST that rewrites a user ID, role, email, and password under the administrator's session. An administrator must visit attacker-hosted HTML while logged in, after which the forged update can assign an administrative role or replace the administrator's credentials.
