Content and session compromise via cross-frame script execution
Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Universal XSS in LINE Corporation's LINE client for iOS before 14.9.0 allows remote attackers to run script in top-frame origins. The in-app browser lets JavaScript from an attacker-controlled embedded iframe escape its frame and execute in the displayed site's top-frame origin after a click event. A victim must open a URL in LINE and click the iframe; the resulting script can capture or alter displayed content and user session information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
