Command execution via unsanitized newpasswd parameter
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK A6000R 1.0.1-B20201211.2000 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via newpasswd. In /usr/lib/lua/luci/controller/admin/system.lua, action_passwd accepts shell separators in newpasswd and executes the appended command. The published request includes a sysauth session cookie and demonstrates a filesystem write under /www; unauthenticated reachability is not documented.
