Authenticated browser script execution via stored profile name
Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
Stored XSS in PHPGURUKUL Online Birth Certificate System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. /user/certificate-form.php accepts a script payload in the profile name field and stores it for later rendering without neutralizing executable markup. A valid user session is required to plant the payload, and a visitor must view the affected content; resulting script execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
