CVE-2024-5716Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated administrator access via reset-code brute force

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Authentication bypass in Logsign Unified SecOps Platform 6.4.6 allows remote attackers to reset an administrator password over HTTPS. The password-reset verifier accepts unlimited guesses for a six-digit reset_code, allowing brute force before the code expires. Anyone who can reach TCP port 443 can target the default admin account, replace its password, and then log in with administrator privileges.
