Prototype pollution in utils-extend 1.0.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to corrupt the global prototype via crafted input. The lib.extend routine iterates untrusted keys without excluding proto and recursively writes through target[key], modifying Object.prototype. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled objects to lib.extend; successful pollution can interrupt or alter that application.
