Service interruption via unfiltered prototype keys
Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Prototype pollution in TanStack Form Core before 0.42.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a crafted merge payload. mutateMergeDeep recursively processes attacker-controlled proto, constructor, and prototype keys without rejecting them, modifying the global prototype chain. No privileges or user interaction are required when a consuming application passes remotely supplied object data to this function; the documented consequence is application denial of service.
