Prototype pollution in @ndhoule/defaults 2.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted input. The lib.deep function recursively merges attacker-controlled object properties without blocking prototype keys, allowing a payload to modify Object.prototype. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled input to lib.deep; the documented consequence is availability loss, with no reported data access or code execution.
