Session impersonation via full cookie logging
Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Session identity disclosure in WombatDialer before 25.02 allows attackers to impersonate existing users through exposed log entries. Affected services write the complete session cookie to system logs instead of retaining only non-sensitive leading and trailing fragments. An attacker must obtain access to those logs and use the exposed identity while the associated session remains accepted.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
