Authenticated restricted-service access via client-side grant checks
Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Access-control bypass in Loway WombatDialer before 25.02 allows remote authenticated users to call restricted client services. The server accepts proprietary serialization requests for client-only services without repeating the user-grant checks enforced by the client. Exploitation requires valid low-privilege access and reverse engineering of that protocol; the callable operations and their concrete effects are undisclosed.
