Unauthenticated protected-page access via crafted URL suffix
Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in NETGEAR DGN2200 firmware 1.0.0.46 and earlier allows remote attackers to access protected pages via crafted URLs. The web interface authentication logic treats a request ending in the query string ?x=1.gif as authenticated after the login prompt is canceled. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the attacker must reach the router from an adjacent network; the published proof demonstrates protected-page disclosure rather than a specific configuration change or service interruption.
