Subscriber-level FAQ modification via missing capability checks
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Happy WooCommerce FAQs 1.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter stored FAQ data. The ffw_insert_new_faq, ffw_delete_all_faqs, ffw_delete_single_faq, and related handlers perform data-changing operations without capability checks. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to create or update FAQs and FAQ lists, delete FAQs, and change their WooCommerce product associations.
