Authenticated command execution via unsanitized VPN username
Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK X5000R 9.1.0cu.2350_B20230313 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via VPN account requests. The setVpnAccountCfg handler passes the user parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A low-privileged web-management session is required, and successful injection provides command execution with the handler's device privileges.
