Stored script execution via unencoded patient fields
Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Hospital Management System 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The patient-edit handler stores pataddress and medhis POST values in tblpatient, and the affected view pages render those values as active markup. A doctor account is required to store a payload, and a patient or administrator must open the affected record before it executes in that user's session.
