Administrator session compromise via unencoded subscription names
Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Stored XSS in Silverpeas Core 6.3.1 through 6.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through subscription names. The subscription categorization view stores the Name field and renders subscription titles and labels without HTML encoding. A valid account can plant the payload; administrator viewing then runs the script, exposing the administrator's session and authorized actions.
