Remote code execution via rel_id path traversal
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025
Path traversal in Perfex CRM before 3.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files through a crafted HTTP request. The handle_sales_attachments function appends rel_id directly to the upload directory and passes the resulting path to move_uploaded_file without canonicalizing or restricting traversal segments. A highly privileged CRM session and invoice-attachment interaction are required, after which uploaded PHP executes with web-server permissions.
