Code injection in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX devices before 2.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code as root. The VRF configuration path passes unneutralized input to a downstream component, allowing code-significant elements to be interpreted. Administrative privileges and an enabled VRF configuration are required; successful exploitation gives root control of the device operating system.
