Session access via incomplete TOTP replay window
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
Improper authentication in Craft Two-Factor Authentication 3.3.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reuse valid TOTP codes. Verify::isTokenUsed searches per-user token records only from the configured delay, which defaults to zero seconds, instead of the full TOTP window. An attacker must possess the victim's primary credentials and a still-valid TOTP; replaying that code in a second session grants dashboard access.
