Service interruption via leaked credential references

Credential reference leakage in the Linux kernel Ceph client 6.10 through 6.12.3 allows local users to interrupt service via metadata access. ceph_mds_auth_match() redundantly calls get_current_cred() after ceph_mds_check_access() has already obtained the credential pointer, adding a reference that is never released. Repeated authorization checks from a local low-privileged context accumulate unreleased references until kernel resources are exhausted and service is interrupted.
