Code execution via unsanitized SVG font family
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Local file inclusion in Tecnick.com LTD TCPDF before 6.8.0 allows remote attackers to execute a local PHP file through crafted SVG input. The setSVGStyles method passes an unsanitized font-family value through setFont and AddFont, which constructs a path and includes the matching PHP font file. Exploitation requires an application to process attacker-controlled SVG and a target PHP file to exist at a predictable path; execution runs with the application's privileges.
