CVE-2024-56462Network attack vector

Host access via malicious backup restoration

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Improper backup-file handling in IBM QRadar SIEM 7.5.0 through 7.5.0 UP15 IF02 allows remote authenticated users to gain host access. The backup-restore workflow processes a malicious archive uploaded by a privileged user and exposes the underlying operating system; IBM has not published the flawed validation step. High-privilege QRadar access and restoration of the uploaded archive are required, and successful exploitation grants access to the Linux host.
