Stored XSS via unescaped ladder names
Published Jul 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Tournamatch before 4.6.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute scripts through ladder names. The new-ladder Name field stores unsanitized markup and renders it without output escaping when the administration page reloads. Administrator access and a privileged viewer loading the affected page are required; the script executes even when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on multisite installations.
