Service interruption via unchecked USB packet length
Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in the USB component of Samsung Exynos processors allows remote attackers to interrupt a target via malformed USB packets. The USB component processes an attacker-controlled packet length without validating that the destination buffer can hold the resulting write. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the published impact is limited to availability; Samsung has not disclosed whether the fault causes a crash, reboot, or hang.
