Reflected XSS via unsanitized currency parameter
Published Jan 3, 2025 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in PHPOffice PhpSpreadsheet before 1.29.7, 2.1.6, 2.3.5, or 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to run browser script. Accounting.php inserts the attacker-controlled currency POST parameter into generated HTML and formatted output without restricting it to known symbols. Exploitation requires a victim browser to load the attacker-submitted response, allowing script execution in that page context.
