Reflected XSS via unsanitized download parameters
Published Jan 3, 2025 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in PHPOffice PhpSpreadsheet allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript through the download sample. The Downloader constructor places the name and type GET parameters into an error response without output sanitization. The samples/download.php script must be web-accessible and a user must follow a crafted URL; script then runs in that user's browser context.
