CVE-2024-56353Network attack vector

Credential and session-cookie disclosure via unsanitized backups

Published Dec 20, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024

Sensitive information exposure in JetBrains TeamCity before 2024.12 allows remote authenticated users to read credentials and session cookies from backups. The backup archive creation path retains user credentials and session cookies instead of removing those secrets before the archive is made available. Exploitation requires authenticated access with substantial privileges, and the resulting disclosure can expose reusable credentials and active sessions.
