CVE-2024-56339Network attack vector

Unauthenticated data disclosure via ignored HTTP permissions

Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 7, 2025

Security bypass in IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0 and Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 25.0.0.7 allows remote attackers to read protected data. The server fails to enforce configured restrictions for HTTP permission methods, but IBM has not disclosed the affected code path or exact method mismatch. No credentials or user interaction are required, and Liberty is affected only when servlet-3.1, servlet-4.0, servlet-5.0, or servlet-6.0 is enabled.
