Web-shell upload via Child Theme Generator
Published Jan 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WPMasterToolKit 1.13.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place web shells on a WordPress server. The vendor identifies the Child Theme Generator as the affected locus, but public materials do not disclose the faulty function or exact validation step. Administrator-level access is required; a successful upload leaves attacker-supplied PHP reachable for execution by the web server.
