CVE-2024-56222Network attack vector

Ticket status changes via missing nonce

Published Dec 31, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in CodeBard Help Desk 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to close or reopen support tickets. The ticket close/reopen control omitted a WordPress nonce from its state-changing request, allowing a crafted page to submit the action through a logged-in user's browser. Successful exploitation requires a privileged user able to manage tickets to visit attacker-controlled content; the bounded effect is an unwanted ticket-status change.
