Privilege escalation via forged administrative requests
Published Dec 31, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Social Ink Sinking Dropdowns 1.25 and earlier allows remote attackers to escalate privileges through a victim's browser. The public advisory does not identify the affected endpoint or the missing request-authenticity check that accepts the forged administrative action. A privileged, logged-in WordPress user must interact with attacker-controlled content, after which the forged request performs a privilege-changing action with that user's authority.
