Local privilege escalation via WLAN scan buffer overwrite

Out-of-bounds write in Google Android's Broadcom WLAN driver allows local users to elevate privileges through malformed SSID data. The wl_update_hidden_ap_ie() function in wl_cfgscan.c insufficiently validates SSID information-element input before updating the scan buffer, permitting a write beyond its bounds. Low-privileged local access is required, user interaction is unnecessary, and successful exploitation elevates privileges on an affected Pixel device.
